The Relationship Expert: The Human Body
We are all relationship experts when we listen to the truths
our bodies speak to us. When we first meet another individual
our body signals to us. We, at times, might feel a tightness
in our chest, a lightness in our limbs, a fluffy feeling in
our stomach or any other gambit of physical sensations.
The body is constantly speaking to us and sharing the truth
of our circumstances from an intuitive perspective. We simply
need to take the effort and time to learn to listen to the
subtle messages our body speaks and we will become experts
in our own lives and relationships.
The body feels and experiences physical sensations. Then,
our emotions are created and we can help identify the emotion
by the physical sensation of the body. Once we have recognized
both the physical sensation and named the emotional attitude,
we can trust that our intuitive body is telling us a truth.
we meet a new individual or relate to an individual we already
know, we can listen to and trust our body to truthfully direct
us. Our bodies will feel and then create appropriate emotions
in conjunction with the relationships we are experiencing.
When meeting a trustworthy relationship, then we can expect
to feel a calm and relaxed feeling and thus a peaceful emotion.
On the other hand, we will feel an uncomfortable feeling and
generate uncomfortable emotions when we are involved or meeting
with a negative relationship.
When we listen to our body, we are the relationship expert.
We will know what to do in any relationship when we tune into
our intuitive body and let the body make decisions for us.
Below is a simple exercise that will encourage trust of the
relationship expert, the human body…
As a simple exercise, for the next week, make decisions based
upon your body and emotions.
1. Think of the last time you met that wonderful person;
the exceptional person who made you toes curl and your face
blush. Now, think of where you were and what you were doing
when you met this special person. Spend time recalling these
feeling and emotions. Learn to know these emotions and sensations
and trust them.
2. Recall the last time you met an individual who you did
not like or trust. Think of the physical feelings you experienced.
Recall the jittery sensation or the nauseous sensation that
parked itself within your physical self. Learn to know these
emotions and sensations and trust them.
3. Trust the expert. For the next week allow the body-not
the mind-to guide you in your relationship decisions.
