Thank you.

I did start reading the information on your website and newsletters -- so much info to cover -- very informative. …Does she do teleseminars? If it is ever possible, I would like to see her in videos showing what different plants look like/safety tips. Then I would be more sure of what a plant is than just looking at a photo. I live in south-central Utah and would love to come visit the east coast and learn from her, but I can't just yet anytime soon.

Thanks for everything.

I found your website when researching herbs but never had time to read it because we put in a very big garden. So, I put it on an open tab hoping to get to it. Then a few weeks later my friend told me to check out your website, so I started looking around but I have a hard time reading online. Then after a serious pre-menopausal attack that took my knees out from under me, our friend told me to look at your site again and try to contact you…. Then someone pointed out this week that I have motherwort in my yard and said that I should look into that. I went to wikipedia to make sure it was motherwort and there you are again, quoted! So I think even if it's online, you are meant to be my teacher.

I live in upstate NY. I moved here to learn to garden and be a medicine woman (my life goal). I need to get my brain "back" though and am focusing as hard as possible to try to figure out where to start. I lost my job at the end of May and now would be the time to learn and heal before I have to go back to work. I hope to meet you soon either in consultation to help me figure out what herbs to get on and/or also as a teacher if I can afford the classes.

Thank you for a wonderful site!

Jamie

Subject: I love your book

Hi Susun,

Your book on menopause is the best I've read. I am 45 and going though
menopause now. It's an interesting journey, embracing what comes............

Thanks for writing that book.................................Allison

I just want to say thank you on your tip for the nettle leaf infusion. I have been drinking the nettle leaf tea for over a month and also just trying to pray, meditate, and remind myself how truly blessed I am. I see such a big difference. I rest more peaceful and the jerk/stinging sensation went away. Every time I drink my tea I think of the wise women. You all are Beautiful.

Thank You....

I have to say that I keep running into females who are in perimenapause and
not at all clear over what to do to assist this transition and are confused
over what is happening with their bodies. A copy of Menopause Years was
loaned to me and after reading it I have given numerous copies away. I
figure it's more effective than refering someone to a book they have never
heard of. This book has helped me with my fears and I hope to feel better
soon.

Keep well and thanks!
Lydia

Hello My Friends,

I just read the notice about the Wolf Clan teachings by White Feather and I
just wanted to say I'm grateful that Grandmother Twyla's teachings are being
carried on and didn't realize that she has passed into spirit world. Bless
her dear soul. In the early 90s I attended the wolf clan women's councils
for 3 years in a row and just loved them. I learned so much from them and
always will have fond memories of those amazing and empowering times.
Many blessings to you who are carrying on with this work.

Sending love and hugs
Cheers, Namaste

Melva

Good Day Susun,

I have just discovered your website. It was very interesting reading about
the herbs and the benefits to our mind and body. I am in the throws of
menopause which is what lead me to your website.

I have just ordered and received a pound of nettle and oat straw leave. I
cannot wait to begin drinking my tea!

….
Sincerely,
Pam

Hi,

I subscribed to your free monthly newsletter a couple of weeks ago.You sent me the July issue which I am in the process of reading -the different books and about the '7 medicines' … I've found so much interesting info and reading on your websites. I'm learning and absorbing such good info on natural healing and looking after oneself...

Many thanks Linda

Hi Susun,

My name is Lily, and I am a herbalist in Australia. I have been practicing for about 13 years now, and i have been "hitting the wall" in practice lately. I know there is so much more to this than what I am "doing" with my patients and I have been unsure about why the herbal compounds which have always just worked, have stopped working lately.

I am also an intuitive, and i have been getting the message to just wait, just wait, just wait. And now, i find your Wise Woman Tradition course. I know it is all about to come together - we are selling our home in the city, and have just bought beautiful acreage in a small country community with the hopes of growing herbs and food and practicing in a completely different way of life. So the purpose for writing you, as well as to thank you for inspiring me anew, is to ask if I may do your course from all the way over here?

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Lily.

Hello there.

I was fascinated by your site… I really
appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge.

Sincerely,
Ilene

Dear Susun,

I am 44 year-old single mother. Had br.cancer in my left breast end of '06. In surgery, it was fully excised, had radation and chemo (CMF) I read your book on breast cancer which helped me tremendously. Used lots of herbs throughout my treatment. Loved and appreciated your helpful information.

Thank you so much,
Love, Tracy

Dear Susun,

I have just spent the last 2 hours with you via your website and YouTube. Bless you. Thank you for being who you are.

With this email I wanted to make a connection with you, a first hello. You and the opportunities you provide for learning are answers to many dreams, visions and prayers that I've had. There is a deep rightness I feel. So, now that I've found you my new prayer is that I am courageous and step forward on my path.

At this moment I ackowledge the universe and reach back to you, and to the universe, and say thank you. I hear. I feel. Thank you.

Blessings,
Bonnie-Ann

Hello,

Your site has been a great comfort to me, thank you for the insight…

Carla

Hi Susun,

I hope this finds you well and enjoying all the lambs quarters and dandelion greens up there. I live in Mexico and do miss those wild greens.

Maybe you remember me? I used to study with you in the late 70s and thru the 80s. I used to come and stay with you occasionally. I'm originally from Kingston. I was a hypnotist in Vermont, and then I moved to Belize to go into the Peace Corps... and we lost touch. You were such a strong teacher for me and influenced me in a lot of important ways. I learned so much from you.

Anyway, long story short, I live in southern Mexico now, on the Belize border. I am a tenured professor at a public university here, doing teacher training with Mexican students who will go on to teach English as a foreign language…

Sending love from here,
Jane

Dear Ms Weed,

A friend sent me you "Goddess is alive" article and I loved it. Thank you so much for listening and sharing the story with women everywhere. I used to see your articles in Sage Women (or Crone Chronicles--can't remember which). It was so special to read a piece of your work again.

Bright Blessings,

Dear Susun-

I just read your mid August newsletter, including the Optimum Nutrition Article - Cooked - Raw.

I teach a public education class 1x a year at The Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health in NYC- The class is titled - Freedom to Eat - and focuses on holistic healing for food and eating issues and disorders. A portion of my class is dedicated to the physiology of healing for eating disorders - based on the Weston A. Price priniciples - where many people have found physical and physiological healing and regeneration for their bodies.

May I include your article as a handout for my class?
This is one of the clearest and simplest articles about gaining maximum nutrients from food in cooked/raw debate.

Also, since SO many people with food issues suffer jaw and mouth tension from over chewing - I LOVED the haiku about chewing (I dedicate a portion of my class to chewing and food disorders.

Thanks much.
Love your work..have benefited SO much in the past 5 years that I have become acquainted with your teachings.
Warmly,
Lisa

[Discussion on Herbal Healing group re. Mary E.. at Green Goddess week]

Mary,
Did you go to one of Susun's workshops?
If so, how was it? Would love to hear about it!
Carla

Hi Carla:
Yes, I did go to the Green Goddess workshop. It was quite an
experience. There were two other long term apprentices there but
they left during the week before while Susun was in Scotland. I think
this made it more difficult for those "working" women and a lot of
work for them. This, in part, resulted in "why does Susun yell". And
she does yell! Susun is amazing in the knowledge she has and taught
us how to "teach".

We went on walks during the morning and sometimes
afternoons with the goats, so the goat herder could listen also. We
talked about plant families and how to identify them and used out
field guides. As said in the description: we processed deep emotions
and feeling. This, I think, really served to bring our group of women
close. There were 9 of us originally and one left mid week. Susun
answered any questions that we had with amazing full understanding.
She talked to us about eating which was eye opening. Oh, for those
over age 50, make sure you don't add any folic acid to your diet via
vitamins. It's put in lots of the food we eat...just take a look.
Susun said it's a direct link to colon cancer.

There were two additional teachers there. The first was Anya Kiefter
who taught us Magical Passages. They are to bring back our womanly
energies that have left our womb area and are dispersed around our
bodies. We are to learn these and pass them along to as many women as
possible. I feel it's preparing us for the times to come as well as
beneficial now.

The second was Rainbow Weaver. She taught us to bead our own Medicine
Gifts in a medallion. We learned and used our birth color meanings,
latent talents, and energy chart. While beading she told stores,
drummed and sang. We joined it........it was wonderful. And I can't
forget her wicked sense of humor......oh my gosh......she is so funny!
And so compassionate!

Overall it was a very difficult week in many ways, very eye opening,
very educational and so much more. I'm so glad I went. On the 16
plus hour drive home.......I was processing so much. When home I
surprised myself with they way I talked. Not nasty but simply being
forceful and knowing in what I wanted or didn't want.
This is a broad generalization but I hope you get the feeling of it.
If you have specific questions I would be happy to answer them.
Blessings,
Mary
