I just wanted to thank you for everything you do. I found your website a couple of months ago and love it!! I have also learned a lot from you since finding your website as you have a philosophy like mine. I try to use as much of the local herbs that surround me as apposed to getting them from somewhere else. I love your links & YouTube videos. Keep up the good work and bless you for getting info out there to those of us that want to be healthy and stay healthy naturally. You are a blessing & inspiration to all of us,

thank you.

Blessings to you.

I remember reading your books back in the late '80's when I was being drawn to leave my tradtional life and find the path of a healer, when I came upon your herbal book. It was such an important time in my life and I implimented your remedies during a time when I was transitioning from an unhealthy marriage.

First off thank you for all do, I cannot tell you how much your website and your books have improved my life and the life of my children. You are truly an inspiration.

You don't know me personally but I so admire your herbal wisdom and get your newsletter and use your recipes and books....

I have been reading your stuff on the recommendation of a good friend and I LOVE IT. I'm 47 and have been doing infusions for a couple of months. I was healthy to begin with, but I think this is really helping me. I'm on the Cape and hope to come to a workshop or to volunteer sometime. You are welcome to stay here anytime if you wish to come to the Cape. A spare bedroom.

Dear Susun,

This study is a wonderful journey of deepening. Read . .Walk. . . .think . . know. WHOLE healing. BEING "healed - whole - holy" vs throwing pills (or herbs) at symptoms. Journeys of healing, with choices of Being in each river. I find that I am most comfortable in rivers 2, 3 and 4, though I used to sit long hours in the first river, and think I need to return to it's deep pools more often amid my busyness. But I have had to plunge into the seventh river for a lifesaving appendectomy (ruptured), and still benefited from all the time I spend in the first half of the divide. Thank you, thank you for this wonderful course. It has become a friend, and I look with a little sadness at the lesson number growing larger . . .
I hope your autumn there is being as beautiful and vibrant as ours is here.

Blessings to all at the Center on this Day of the Crone, of Hecate,
Greenstone . Joan

You are truly a legend in Herbalism.

Hi Susun I'm an herbalist from England and just wanted to say that I really love you books. Great work! :-)

Dearest Susun,

My first Herbal Medicine Teacher (after my Grandmother!) (In 1980!)..when the Wise Woman Center was a "sprout!".( vision) We have seen each other a bit over the years..and I've been to your land a few times since those 1st days!..Sold many of your books at Esoterica as well!

Many Blessings to you Dear Susun!

I just wanted to write and tell Susun Weed how much i appreciate her books - for years i've used her Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Years and now at 36, i'm so glad to have found her Menopause book (via interlibrary loan!) - i will be buying a copy of this one as well... I was also so glad to hear that a new version of Childbearing removed the references to abortifacient herbs - they didnt' seem to fit in there, and i'm glad that you made that decision... The menopause book has been so encouraging - i'm a Christian, but i've gleaned so much from your writings, and there is so much we have in common in our approach to life and our gratitude to our Creator...

Love, stephanie

Peace and Blessings, Eva.

Sending green blessings and so much appreciation for all you offer us through your green wisdom!

I just wanted to thank you for everything you do. I found your website a couple of months ago and love it!! I took an herbal course a couple of years ago from a woman in the south and learned a lot. I have also learned a lot from you since finding your website as you have a different philosophy then she did, yours is more like mine. I try to use as much of the local herbs that surround me as apposed to getting them from somewhere else. I am on a limited income and am not able to take your course, but have found everything else that you offer very helpful. I love your links & YouTube videos, I have also learned a lot from Kiva's link that you provided. I don't know if you ever venture to the Pacific Northwest, but if you do I would love to try to attend one of your workshops. Keep up the good work and bless you for getting info out there to those of us that want to be healthy and stay healthy naturally. You are a blessing & inspiration to all of us,

thank you.

I really enjoyed reading THE WISE WOMAN TRADITION EMPOWERS WOMEN. You always hear on TV about tests being done and the results only to find that they did the test on men and no women. I agree that the Wise Woman Tradition does empower women.

I saw you speak in Ann Arbor, Mi years ago and I simply never forgot you or what you had to say!

Hi Susan.

I found your wonderful site a while back and have your regular newsletter sent to my inbox, hoping we can be FB friends to gain more of your wonderful knowledge.

The first lesson of the Seven Rivers of Healing with Susun Weed is deeply inspiring, and touches on areas that are of great and growing interest to me. I am really looking forward to the next 45!

Thank you, Karen

I am new to the herbal training world, but have been studying shamanism for several years. We need physical beacons on our paths through this world, and you are one of them!

Thank you for this beautiful mid month newsletter with so many wonderful things to read!... With love from
Sophia xxx...

Dear Susan -

I LOVED the old menoposal years book! I was in my teens when I was diagnosed with fybroids (in my Teens!) and I happend to come across your book. Even though I was so young, my health at the time was very like menopause and even though I knew I was not going through true menopause, your book opened up an entire world of herbal healing for me! I am now fybroid free. For many years Susan I have wanted to thank you for putting this book out there. It was there for me, at the right time, and I am ever so grateful.

Love, Kjerstin

...I'm an herbalist in Cal. that just wants to say thanks for all of the inspiration you have given me through many years. I used your wonderful books when I was pregnant (over 20 yrs ago) & continue to recommend them to clients & friends. I really enjoy your Wise Woman newsletter emails also; they are empowering & even tho we are on opposite sides of the country, I feel connected to a kindred soul. Thanks so much!

Green Blessings, Linda

Dear Susun Weed,

I have just come from your website filled with inspiration. I've just given it a once-over; there's a lot of great information on there, and beauty too. I'll have to go through in more detail later. I am grateful that you are out there doing your work with such integrity. You have laid a lot of important groundwork. Thank you. I came across a flyer for a workshop you were leading in Eugene, Oregon years ago, and I was attracted to your work on a deep level just from that one piece of paper. I wasn't able to attend, but have been holding that spark within for all that time. Now it's starting to make sense.... Blessings on your life and work.

Sincerely, Amber

You started me on my path years and years ago with Healing Wise. I use the
wisdom from that book everyday. I thankyou for all you do. I look forward
to ordering the Rivers of Healing when I can afford it. I sounds like just
what I need. Again, thankyou. As crone, so many things have changed. It
will be good to put a lot of it in perspective.

You are wonderful, powerful and just plain lovely!

I love your work and I have many of your books! Thank you for all you contribute to the world!

Hi Susun,

Just received my Spirit and Practice correspondence course. Looking forward to learning the Wise Woman ways. Blessings to you!

Hi Susun!

Thank you for your wisdom and books. Your information echoed in my mind and saved my daughters life....when she had a kidney infection that was nearly fatal. Nettles has been in highest esteem ever since. Thank you, thank you thank you for sharing your wisdom.

Dear Susun:

I'm sure you've heard many thanks for your 7 Rivers of Healing correspondence course. Although I have not taken the course, its outline provided a framework to aid me in making an important health care decision: whether to proceed from blood testing and gluten free diet to biopsy to confirm a diagnosis of Celiac Disease. The outline itself helped me to address issues of harm to the body by having to reintroduce gluten into my diet to prepare for the biopsy; the "need" for a label, info vs. wisdom in what I was being told by doctors and Celiacs, etc. For what it's worth, I've accepted that my dramatic improvement on a gluten free diet is evidence of a severe gluten intolerance, which a biopsy would confirm - and for which the only treatment is a gluten free diet. I'll forego the biopsy. Thank you so much for your course. As my daughters would say, the wise woman way rocks.

I enjoy getting your newsletter every month!

Hi Susun,

I came across one of your books one day and have been blessed with your wisdom. It was "The book Menopausal Years...The Wise Woman Way." What a great thing for me to have it and read the descriptions of Grandmother Growth. I loved it. And so much helpful information. It helped me understand what was happening to me and made the menopause easier with that understanding. Thank you so much for all you do. I visit your website at times also and want to thank you for all the information available on it.

Thank you.I am sooo touched. That you and Susan even responded to me- with how busy I imagine you both to be running the Wise Woman Empire! Susan has my utmost respect for sharing all her knowledge with us... I saw her speak at the first herbal conference in Black Mountain. That was my first experience being surrounded by the power of women. So many women together was moving. I have not been able to return, but that experience has stayed with me and fueled me for years! I feel that way again. I just sent this to you last night, when I woke up I had 7 emails from the kindest ladies! I really do feel loved and special like never before. Even though I do not know one of these people, I know I am circled in a brighter light because of them. Because of you. I know I will get through this. I really feel it now. Thank you for taking the time and thank you for allowing me teach what I have learned. I am not a crone yet, but I am on my way!! 66 prayers of love and peace to me and my family is absolutely amazing. I feel like a whole wise woman.

You are the best!!

Dear Susun,

Green Greetings from the Heartland of the Shuswap, British Columbia.
Well, it's a rainy morning here in my beautiful Green Shuswap Home! We haven't had rain for quite some time (despite the fact that this is an Interior Rain Forest ecosytem) so it's a blessing, indeed and I'm sitting here at my computer looking out the window. Everything is soaking up this long awaited moisture - you can feel the happiness of the trees.

Anyway....it's about time I wrote to thank you for all that you have given to the Herbal Community and to Humanity in general! It's been going on, hmmm...well over 15 years now that I first picked up Healing Wise. It changed my life and my whole approach to Herbalism and Healing! I've chosen Nourishment as the cornerstone of my life....I approach every "problem" with the Six Steps to Healing model (now incarnated to the Rivers of Healing).....and not just health problems but everything! My two most favourties are Do Nothing and Nourishment!

A couple of years ago I had a serious fall from a horse....a young stallin, in fact.....I landed on my right hip ie my butt (good thing I didn't land on my head or I wouldn't be here to tell you this story) so hard that my jeans were shredded to pieces! I did go to the hospital to have it xrayed because it was looking like I had a broken bone and it was incredibly painful but amazingly, I didn't suffer any broken bones!!!! It did turn into the biggest hematoma on record tho! When the doctor saw the bruise, his jaw actually dropped and he was amazed that I hadn't broken my hip! I know you already know where this story is going :) I attribute the fact that I didn't suffer any broken bones (at any age when most women are prone to developing brittle bones) to the fact that I have been drinking nourishing herbal infusions for a long time - horsetail, oatstraw, nettle, red clover, pinches of comfrey.....and my bones are not only strong but flexible! No calcium supplements for me! I could go on with more stories but it's time to go out and play!

Thank you again for all that you have so freely given..... for your courage, strength, wisdom, kindness, generosity and love!!! Across the miles...connected by the Green Spiral....

In Love and Nourishment,
Barbara from the Shuswap
