Hi yah..

My name is Julie and I am a 27 year old woman who has 6 months to go until I finish my 3rd and final year of a diploma in herbal medicine. I study with the Waikato Centre for Herbal Medicine in Hamilton New Zealand,

I work in a health store at present and prior to that I worked in a garden centre for 4 years which I loved. I am made for outside not inside jobs I reckon.. ha-ha.

I am writing to seek knowledge …. I absolutely love your thoughts, books and work that you do. I have looked into your courses that you run and would love one day to meet you.…

Julie

Dear Susun,

I'm very interested in your classes and all that you're offering to women. …

Keep up the amazing work.

All best,
Adrienne

My name is Sandra,

I have always been fascinated by the plant world, more so than the animal one. The plants you mentioned on you're website like the nettles tonics and hair products are just amazing! I would have never thought such a nasty painful plant can be so useful. I would love to study under you, but I have money issues, and I am only fifteen years old; and still in high school. …

nomaste dear sister soul

what a blast of healing pouring out of you to that dear man inter-viewer who felt he had to trans-late every word you spoke...you handled him well!

alas, i am (as dubbed) "a goddess...with a penis", and while i do not know of the hormoning you speak of, i am one in tune to the moaning bliss of being my creation, Earthed for now.

may our plots join at some time...should that be found in our rite mind and heart(h).

Hello Ms. Weed:

I recently came across one of your articles: Herbalism for Pregnancy & Pregnancy Problems and am very interested in it. I believe that as much as possible, we need to use natural methods for healing rather than conventional medicine.

I feel very passionate about natural birth, midwifery care, breastfeeding and natural parenting in general. Therefore, I am currently trying to put a website together covering all of these topics. I would be delighted if you would allow me to reproduce this article on my upcoming website. If you do allow me to use your articles, I would like to include an "about the author" section and have a link to your website.

Thanks for your time,
Alexis

I found your comments interesting because they were so different from
numerous other speakers I have heard…

Thanks

Hi Susun,

I enjoy your teachings, and listen to your show on healthylife.net…

Dear Karen,

Thank you so much for responding to me! It is so generous of Susun to have these consultations. I will definitely give her a call tonight.

Take care,

Andriana

Karen Joy,

Thanks so much for the thorough email on transportation options! That really does help. Now that I live in CT, I see much more of the variation of plants, and want to learn more about them. But I don't know where to start!

I signed up for the Green Witch Intensive with Susun Weed a couple of years ago, and so have many books for the program, but then I started grad school (which I will be finishing up soon) for Traditional Chinese Medicine, with an emphasis on Acupuncture (the herbs program I will be completing later).

So, now, I am trying to reconnect with Susun Weed and the Wise Woman Center. Might you have any suggestions for the best way to gently re-enter? I thought perhaps I should do so by attending a workshop, but it seems that there are less workshops offered compared to when I was more active with the Wise Woman Center a couple of years ago. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best,
Margarita

Hi Susun,

I love your site and would love to know how I can participate as an
emotional eating healer. I love your mission and you have helped me to
handle my PMS and bloating!

I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond… The wisdom of natural medicine, i.e. herbs and the like, is just so very amazing. Thank you again, both for your personalized response and all the work that has gone into the wonderful website that you maintain.

Susun,

I just found out I'm going to be a Grammy, for the first time. My first daughter out of six has just found out she is expecting a new life. She is 11 weeks and we got to hear the heart beat. My family Is now part of the true spiral, Maidens, Mothers, and Crone. Plus the 4 sacred boys in my spiral, 1 being my loving husband. I love the abilities, the Wise Woman tradition offers to all. I find so much love in this Tradition and can't wait to see my blessed, grandchild raised with this wisdom.

Blessings to you,

Kim

Hi Susun,

Dear Karen,

I am interested in learning more about the wise woman web and will sign on for the newsletter.

I am a Canadian artist living on north Vancouver Island but I once lived in upstate NY for many years. My 31 year old son still lives there. Too bad I am so far away now as I would enjoy the workshops you offer.

I am looking forward to the book on menopause to learn about other things I can do that don't require medical prescriptions.

Sincerely,

Karen

Dear Susun,

How are you? I have two of your books and have learned much from you in these last 5 years, watching you grow in your ability to reach the masses.

I studied how plants can help us in 1979, when I used aloe vera for two weeks and ended the symptoms of an ulcer I carried around for 7 years. That is why I was thrilled when you started your correspondence courses last year!

Sincere wishes,

Denise

Thank you for whatever you may share with me,

Cheri

Greetings Susun.

I am a male, 32 years of age, looking to expand my basic knowledge of medicinal herbs and learn "hands-on". I live in the Buffalo, NY area, and I know of nowhere close enough to me for to learn "in the field" with an herbalist. I know you are a reputable herbalist and wise woman. I read on one of your sites that you offer men a work-exchange weekend. As Woodstock is not terribly far from Buffalo, I was hoping I could get some more detail involving this.

It would be an honor to learn and work with such a knowledgeable and wise woman as yourself. Thank you kindly for your time reading this as I know you are busy.
-Christian

Hi,

I have a small tea and herb shop and I have always wanted to join your group for your Green Goddess apprentice weeks …

Susun is a remarkable woman. I have learned a great deal from her. I salute her many contributions to herbology and I highly recommend her books…

Thank you.

I love this site. I can spend hours going through it as there are so many interesing and informative articles. I love the short stories also.

I hope you are feeling well today.

Hello,

My name is Chloe. Four years ago, I took an interest in Paganism, and I found it to sum up all of my beliefs and ideas. However, I had no idea what kind of path I wished to take, and have been floating around the different ones for a long while. Then I came across your website a few days ago, and read about being a Green Witch. I was delighted to see you offered apprenticeships to learn more about herbal medicine, working on healing abilities, and so on.
… I am old enough to make my own decisions.

Thank you for your time
Chloe

Dear Susun...

A few years back my husband and I bought a farmstead in Nebraska. I transplanted some stinging nettle into a corner of my garden and it has thrived beyond my wildest expectations. In reading your "Wise Woman" book, it mentioned collecting the seeds. I have always cut back the plants just as the seeds are forming to keep them from spreading all over the garden (it spreads well enough by the roots). Do you have a picture of what the mature seeds look when they would be ready to collect and store? I have always known of this plant (as a child I ALWAYS found it and suffered its sting), but had no idea of its value. It sounds as though, by using all its pieces parts, it could almost address all my issues.

Thank You for your wonderful book and information!
… Linda

Dearest Susun,

I thank you for all the wisdom you have shared in so many ways.

Blessings, Peace, Love & Light,
Debra

Hi Karen--I had an AWESOME time!

Thanks,

I have owned and given out Susun Weeds' books for 12 years now. I love em!
My favorite always being The Menopausal Years.

I cannot express again to you how informative your features are to me. This particular issue I will do right now, as I already use stinging nettle to wash my hair, as it gives it quite a shine after shampooing. My mum use the leaves to treat pain in her joints. So for more energy I will definitely try this one.

Thank You again and have Blessed days until next time.
Regards,
Wendy

Hi, Justine:

On a side note, I absolutely admire your mom's care for others and the time she has devoted to make such knowledge available to many at no cost.

… I wish to visit Susun and you one day.......and pay my respects in person.

Blessings,
Bonnie

Hi Susun,

I spoke with you a while back about attending some classes and helping with work days. I apologize for not getting back sooner. I am sad that I have not made it up to the farm. The reality is that I do not have a car and after budgeting rental cars and buses, it became too much for me to afford. I do apologize for not being in touch. I would still love to attend a workshop or work days and would love to car pool if anyone is coming from the Boston area.

Sincerely,
Hollie

Dear Susun,

… I love your book Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year, I have consulted it heavily throughout my two pregnancies…

hi Susun

I work at a small organic market and we are constantly educating our customers. We love your newsletters/articles, they are so packed with great information! We have a computer on site for them to browse and we have your site bookmarked, but they don't always have the time to read...we would love to be able to reprint some of your articles, the ones we reference the most to have one copy on our reference and research table. I would also like wholesale information for all of your books, I really want to sell them in the store!

Thanks so much!
Peace & Light,
Maria

Hi Susun,

I have spent the past day listening and watching interviews of you with different people. All quite enjoyable and inspiring. I have spent this spring learning plants/plant families in my new area and how they can be of help/health- russian thistle, purslane, amaranth, pinon, cholla and others. I feel truly blessed with all my new friends. Your website is amazing-- so much information!

I am writing to let you know I would like to take the ABC's of Herbalism and will sign up through the publishing company if it is okay with you. I am really excited to get started.

Thanks,
deb

Thank you so much, Susun, for writing this article and having it up here this month!!!!!!!

This is just the reminder I need to refocus on building my internal energy and stamina....... Again, I say thank you for this article because I'd forgotten about stinging nettle. I'm going to make an herbal infusion to use over the next few weeks, as I know this will help.

Green Blessings on you and your staff!

hi!

I am interested in taking a correspondence class with you. I have heard great things and think this method would work best for me…

take care,

Good Morning,

…. you have come to us highly recommended as a source to trust.

Warm regards and blessings,
Robin

Hello,

…. I love the information on the forum.

Blessings,
Yvonne

Dear Karen,

Thanks for your email. I did talk to Susun about the skin discoloration (melasema) on one of her open night calls as you suggested. She had informed me that besides lemon juice to lighten it, there is no solution or cure.

… I noticed in the last Wise Woman Newsletter that she did an entire story about estrogens, plant estrogens, pollutant estrogens, etc. Years ago when I was a strict vegan I often worried that the hormone in the soybean plant estrogens could be hazardous to my health.

Susun cleared that up right away!!!! I just wish it had been before. I think the breast health issues I had then (sever cystic swelling), etc were due to a lack of nourishment and support in my personal relationships.

Ok... so after reading that, I was super happy and realized how blessed and brilliant Susun is.

Thanks Karen for your prompt and thoughtful reply. Susun's lucky to have you!

I was so excited when after a google search on something that Susun Weed came up, as I have a few of her books already, and then when I discovered how much info was available through the site and the courses etc…….well, I was over the top. …thank you all for the awesome work.

Thanks
Ginette

I really enjoyed menopausal years, it was very spiritual and enlightening, and so very helpful in understanding the changes my body is going through. Susun is so gifted we have a lot to learn from her. I am looking forward to my class, i know my life is going to be enriched. thanks.

Goddess Bless, barbara
Thank you for the signed copy of my book! It just arrived…
